Tutorial 1 - Part A: Analysing Services and Service Systems
Presented by Dr. Simon Wright
Start Time: 13:30 End Time: 15:00
The objective of the tutorial is to show how services and service systems can be analysed using techniques familiar to most systems engineers. Initially we will address, the unique aspects of a service, the different types of services, the lifecycle of a service and the stakeholders that are relevant to a service. This leads to discovering the needs a service must fulfil to deliver the required outcomes. This enables the associated service architecture, in terms of structure and behaviour, to be developed.
Delegates will either choose their own service to analyse or choose from a list of suggested services that include, Response Services, (NHS Ambulance Service, Fire and Rescue Service, Car Breakdown Service), Through Life Engineering Services, (Ambulance, Fire Engine, Repair Van), Training Services, (Paramedic, Fire Fighter, Mechanic training).
